Description: FOXO4-DRI (Forkhead box O4 D-Retro-Inverso) is a synthetically modified, D-amino acid peptide antagonist designed to disrupt the interaction between the FOXO4 transcription factor and the p53 tumor suppressor protein. In cellular longevity and senescence research, it is studied as a selective senolytic agent. Laboratory investigations focus on its ability to trigger apoptosis specifically in senescent cells by releasing p53 to translocate to the mitochondria, while leaving non-senescent, healthy cells uninjured.
